HEART & VISION

One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. - Psalm 27:4

Through audio, video, lighting, broadcast and stage management, we create and facilitate spaces where people can encounter God in a creative, distraction-free environment. We are people who are willing to learn new things, pivot and step into whatever the needs may be of what is happening behind the scenes, from planning to execution. Our heart is for people’s experience at Fount, whether online or in person, to be without distraction. We facilitate spaces for people to meet and encounter the Lord by bringing together atmosphere, worship, prayer, the message and people. We connect the dots, are problem solvers, and ultimately our focus is on Jesus.

Our Vision Is Jesus

We aim for excellence because we believe that Jesus is in the room. We believe that our technology is a conduit for Jesus to shine through.

Our Reality Is Freedom

We can live out of that reality and freely dream for what is possible both on stage and within our team. We also know that as we serve, we can not only experience more joy and freedom in Christ but that our serving also builds environments where others can experience that freedom afresh.

Our Mission Is People

God has eyes for the one and so do we. We focus on heart over hand; the people on our team will always be more important than the task they are assigned. Every hand raised is a reminder that what we do matters--it was never about pushing buttons, but about lives transformed.

Our Cause Is Love

As a team, we do life together and live in community outside of serving. Everything we do should be done in love, even when the pressure is on in the middle of service.

TEAM ROLE

“Let every skillful craftsman among you come and make all that the Lord has commanded” - Exodus 35:10

Our role is not merely utilitarian: make it louder, brighter, bigger, but rather to convey a message and meaning to a congregation who will be more profoundly impacted by the message as a result of our craft--our skillset being deployed artistically. We are worship leaders. This is not a role reserved specifically for those who can sing or play an instrument. We use technology to enhance our services and through our cues, we lead the room in worship, whether with graphics, lyrics, lighting, etc. We create the environment. We have the honor of enhancing the Spirit-filled environment of worship in our church through audio, lighting, video & stage management. We are charged with protecting this environment, keeping it distraction-free, while maintaining a spirit of excellence and authenticity.

TEAM KEY VALUES

BUILD THE PEOPLE

People come first, always. As a team, we seek to be there for each other through all of life’s ups and downs and encourage one another to go to the Lord with everything. Through personal development, we create an environment where people are always growing and can come away better, not only in technical skill but in care and community.

From whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. - Ephesians 4:16

BUILD THE TEAM

Production team are leaders in setting the culture. We empower team members in their roles, training up people to train others up. Growing in skill, we utilize all resources that have been provided across roles to learn and increase in our preparedness. We know that we must invest time outside of a Sunday service so that we can be confident in our ability when it comes time to execute.

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service. - 1 Timothy 1:12

BUILD THE HOUSE

Our call is to build God’s house, using our skills to create a space where others can grow closer to our Savior and experience the freedom we know and live in. We know what an honor it is to be chosen by God to help build His church and we approach all that we do with that mindset, pursuing excellence as we build.

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ - Matthew 25:21

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES

“This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.” - 2 Corinthians 9:12

Prepare in prayer.

Prayer is the best way to prepare for your day! Pray to have the heart and eyes of God for people when you serve. Ask God to move in a special way--to personally touch hearts and heal wounds and bring His lost children home. Pray for those specific, personal moments of intimacy with Jesus that would forever change lives.

Invest in your confidence.

Take the time you need during the week to come into serving fully prepared. Leaders will always be available to answer questions as we gear into serving but the expectation is that you have reviewed and prepared for your area so that set up and execution of service run smoothly.

Dress the part.

We tend to stay in the shadows while we serve and we want to be sure that when we have to move around to fix something in the venue, that we are not being a distraction to those enjoying service. Black or dark colors help accomplish this goal. We suggest wearing clothing that is conducive to bending, climbing, or carrying things as we are often setting up or breaking down. See our Production Team Style Guide for examples.

Rest.

Once we get going, we know it’s hard to stop. We have a serve one, sit one culture where when you are serving on a Sunday, you are serving the full Sunday but when you aren’t serving, you’re fully “off-duty” and should be actively resting! We know it’s important to work out of our rest and not just rest when we’re nearing burnout. Be honest about what your needs are and what your schedule looks like so we can work together to build a serving schedule that makes sense!

Communicate.

Leadership’s goal is to communicate as early and as often as possible to keep us all on the same page. The role you play in that is to be quick to respond and ask any questions you may have so we can avoid any miscommunication. Be on the lookout for emails, Planning Center requests, and texts from leaders!

Arrive on time.

We’re usually the first ones in and the last to leave. We know this isn’t for everyone and we’re thankful you’ve agreed to be a part of this team. Arriving on time helps ensure that we have time to have rehearsals and run throughs to make service as seamless as possible.

Start with joy.

It’s not just something we say as a church! It’s a reminder that in all areas, we will choose to start with joy. We want you serving in your gifts and passions, in an area of ministry that is an overflow of love and is enjoyable to you. If this ministry team is not fulfilling your purpose and you would like to look into a different team, don’t hesitate to let a leader know. This is why we are here--to walk through life with you!

Have fun!

Though we must always maintain focus on the flow of service so we don’t miss cues, we want to continually strive to have fun with everything we do. You bring something special to the team--your energy and joy is contagious! We wouldn’t be the same without you!
